Call for papers

We kindly invite authors who like to participate on the Seminar on Optical Communications with the paper or poster to send title and short abstract (up to 200 words) no later than until 31 October 2026 to the e-mail bostjan.batagelj[at]fe.uni-lj.si.

If your article/poster is accepted you will be notifed by 10 December 2026.

Final article/poster must be submited no later than 15 January 2027.

General information and instructions for authors

Authors have free admittion to the Seminar on the day of the lecture. For the other two days of the seminar authors are entitled to 30 % discount on participation fee.

Your paper or poster abstract will be published in the e-proceedings. We will only publish papers in the e-proceedings that are submitted in the prescribed format (docx, pdf). Please prepare your presentation slides (in PPT or PDF format) by the start of the seminar.

Articles are not peer-reviewed.

How to prepare a paper

  1. The paper should be written in accordance with the template (docx, pdf).
  2. The paper should not contain a header, footnotes, or page numbers.
  3. The length of the paper should be up to 4 pages.
  4. The submission file should be in Microsoft Word (docx) or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format.
  5. Your paper has to be sent to: tomi.mlinar[at]fe.uni-lj.si.

How to prepare a poster

  1. Poster should be in A0 (864 x 1118 mm) size, portrait position.
  2. Graphical template for the poster is not prescribed.
  3. File for submission should be in PDF format, including all fonts.
  4. Font size should be large enough for printing in A4 format (for e-proceedings).
  5. Poster in A0 format should be printed by author him/herself.

Important dates

  • Submission of your proposal: 31 October 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: 10 December 2026
  • Final paper/poster submission: 15 January 2027
