Programme

The SOK 2027 program will cover the following topics:

• Optical access: recent developments in access network technologies, an overview of competing technologies, candidates for next-generation optical access standardization, and technical issues related to optical access, including in-building optical access;
• Optical transport;
• Standards and protocols;
• Optical measurements and measurement equipment;
• Presentations and information from Slovenian companies and institutions;
• Network migration, including the views of network operators and equipment manufacturers;
• Visions and roadmaps of global equipment vendors;
• Security in optical communications;
• Quantum encryption in optical communications;
• Prospects for the further development of access networks in Slovenia.

All days of the Seminar measurement instruments of different companies will be presented.
