Functionality of modern DWDM systems

Today's DWDM transport systems are not any longer just systems providing basic functionality of transporting certain amount of channels among several locations.
They are being enhanced with new functions to provide more flexibility, scalability and ease-of-use.
These functions contain for example reconfigurability of OADMs, support for more complex optical mesh topologies,
techniques for efficient use of bandwidths when aggregating slower channels, tools for design and deployment support etc.
We will discuss these features and show their use at real life examples.
